My mother is... well... obsessed when it comes to checking the blog for updates. After 7 phone calls and 1 very direct e-mail about how I haven't updated on her granddaughter in over two weeks, I'm happy to make my favorite lady happy by posting a quick update on what is going on with Binga!
Binga is now 25 weeks and is growing at a steady pace each week. For the next month, the baby is about the size of a large papaya and baby's home is the size of a soccer ball (yes at this point, I'm CLEARLY pregnant). Binga is approximately 1.5 lbs and about 14 inches long. Baby is still very mobile which is fun but sometimes surprises me when I'm sitting still at work! At this point, she can blink, hold her feet, and make a fist :)
Next week, I'm officially starting the third trimester. It's hard to believe that Binga will be here in about 3 months! I'm feeling much better so now it's time to kick the preparations into high gear. This weekend we are hoping to get furniture ordered and to finalize what the nursery theme is. Next Monday, I have my 6th month appointment with the OB then next Friday we interview our first pediatrician. I've officially started a spreadsheet with target completion dates (hey, I'm a consultant - that's what we do!) - we WILL be as ready as we can be by the time little one gets here!
On an Emilie note, I'm in St. Charles Illinois at Accenture's training facility for the week. It's been OK, but pretty lame compared to previous St. Charles trips. No open bar or late night trips to the pub for this mama! Luckily, I'm here with a former co-worker from GFEBS who is also pregnant (due the day before we are) so we've been enjoying our milk and cookies while the rest of our session enjoys the open bar at night :)
Mom, I hope this made you happy. Love you.
