It's week 33, which means as of today I'm only 6.5 weeks away from our due date! I can't believe it's almost here, but luckily our checklist of items to get done seems to be getting smaller as the date gets closer! We've finalized childcare for Binga, had two baby showers (and wow, do we already have alot of stuff), taken two classes (Baby Basics and Childbirth), etc. In fact, I think the only major things on our list are get the furniture in (which it *should* be here this week), set up the nursery, have shower #3 in two weeks, finalize some legal paperwork, take the Breastfeeding class, get the carseat installed, and start nesting to await for the arrival of Binga!! It's hard to believe that I'll be full term in a little over 3.5 weeks, which means after that point, she really could come at anytime. We can't wait to meet her but she at least needs to cook for 4-4.5 weeks longer so she's nice and strong when she's first here!
I've been dreaming more and more about her. Last night, I had my most vivid dream of her and it started out wonderfully - she was 7 lbs, 6 oz with a little bit of brown hair (like Kevin's) and cute as could be. We got home and some of our friends were setting up balloons at our house and we decided to go inside. I grabbed hand sanitizer and was putting it on our friends so they could hold her. When she squirmed. And dropped out of my hands. (Note: Dream gets horrible from this point)
She dropped to the floor, turned blue and started projectile vomiting. We called 911 and they said there was nothing they could do for her. I woke up at this point shaking and crying - scared the living b-jesus out of Kevin who then comforted me and assured me that I would not drop our child. It was HORRIBLE.
Here's to hoping for better dreams as we get closer to the date.
On a size perspective, Binga is over the size of a honeydew weighing in at approximately 4.5 - 5 lbs. At this point, she gains about 8 oz a week, which unfortunately mom is also starting to gain :) I thought she was starting to drop into my pelvis the other day, as my frequent bathroom trips got even more unmanageable, but I think it was just that she was cozy on my bladder. She's starting to get more of a schedule of when she's awake and when I can feel her. Movement seems to be the heaviest around 8-9 am, 1-2 pm, and 6-8 pm. I'm sure she's awake much more than that as she'll be up every 2-3 hours when she's born for feeding, but right now that's when I feel her the most. I'm sure going to miss that when she's here, but holding her will be even better!
Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we get closer and closer for a safe, healthy, and happy delivery and arrival for Baby Binga!
