14 Week Update

It's week 14!

My morning sickness, which well let's face it was all-day sickness, has subsided a bit although I still have my moments (i.e. Bob Evan's sausage gravy = bad idea for breakfast this morning!) I'm suppose to enter my "blissful" period here soon, but I've found myself back to the "exhausted" period I had between weeks 6-10. Perhaps it's the way I'm sleeping, but any advice to get my energy levels up would be appreciated from current mommas!

Last night was Halloween and I had to laugh as I was reading status messages on Facebook of friends getting ready for blow-out parties, dressing up in scandalous outfits, etc. Oh how my life has changed. Kevin and I passed out Halloween candy, watched "I Love you Man" and were asleep by 10:45 (which is late for me now and days!)

Ok back to baby. This week, Baby Bingo is the size of a lemon. Liver, kidneys, and spleen are continuing to develop. Baby is "busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) urine making." As for the "manly comparison", this week Bingo is the size of a stress ball. With the week I'm about to have we may need to buy one!

This week, I'm off to Kansas for 3 days, then to DC for a meeting for 2 days. Unfortunately, this translates to more days away from Kevin and Willow, but fortunately, DC means I get to see Susann, Shawn, Katherin, and Jeff! Hooray!

  1. Are you going to find out the sex of the baby or let it be a surprise?

  2. We'll find out the sex - I'm too type A to not have it all planned out :)

  3. How on earth did you travel while being sick? Praise to you because I don't think I could have done it. I couldn't even make it driving 25 minutes to Topeka without pulling over to throw-up. Wow! I pretty much became a pansy the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.
