It's Go Time!

Is there a better time to start blogging again than 3 hours before you start induction for the new baby?

1st, my apologies for not blogging much in the past year. If you have or have had a toddler, you probably get it. If you have been pregnant while having a very very active toddler, than you TOTALLY get it. These past few months I've been balancing a job which I love but still requires my dedicated time, the most beautiful 19 month old ever, striving to still be a great wife, and effectively baking another beautiful baby girl. I think I've been successful, and now it's time to cross the finish line and enter life as a "Mom of 2" - BTW, that's still crazy to say!

After about a month of lots of pre-labor which I didn't experience with Abby, a few scares on my anmiotic fluid levels, a discussion to induce the baby 6 days early due to "a healthy size" and finally a few days of rest working from home, I'm officially on maternity leave and we're officially having this baby soon!

We check into Christ Hospital this afternoon at 4 pm. I've planned out this day more than I have ever planned anything - even our wedding! Abby's schedule for the next few days is set, the dog is off to the puppy hotel for a few days, I've visited church for a blessing from Father Jan, the Christmas tree is up, the presents are wrapped, the cookies are made, the house is clean, the fridge is stocked, the freezer is full, the laundry is done.

And the mama is ready.

Cervadil beginning this afternoon at 4 pm. Pitocin starting at 4 am tomorrow morning. And with God's blessing, a beautiful new baby (still to be named) girl by tomorrow.
