July was amazing - lots of visitors, a fantastic Baptism, Abby's discovery of more of the world.
August promises to be just as amazing. A few highlights that we are looking forward to:
- Abby's 1st trip on an airplane (wish us luck! Suggestions welcome in the Comments area)
- Mom and Abby's visit to Greenville, SC August 11-15 to visit Grandma Bookie and Grand Poobah. Luckily Aunt Susann and Uncle Shawn will also be there and we're looking forward to Abby meeting Grammee Gibson, Mrs. McDonald, Gary and Kim, and more of her "Southern Family!"
- Mom and Dad's first night away from Abby! This weekend is our church's festival (St. Margaret of York). Kevin and I are working from 5-8 pm on Saturday night and then enjoying the festivities. Abby is excited about her first overnight visit to Grandma and Grandpa Kroner's house!
- Abby's first trip to the St. Mary's festival (Kevin's childhood church). This is always a fun activity in our summer and we're excited to take Abby to experience it
- Abby's first Bengals experience! Preseason starts this Sunday with the Hall of Fame game vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, Caryn, our next door neighbor, and I are planning on taking Abby down to Georgetown to the Bengals Training Camp for a fun morning within the next week
- Mom's last treasured weeks of leave with Abby. We're planning on packing in trips to the Zoo, lots of walks, some shopping, cuddles, and more
- Abby's first trip to her daycare to "visit". In order to get mom comfortable with the daycare, they've invited me to drop Abby off for a few hours at a time once a week this month to get used to things. It'll be hard but I love the place we chose and know she will too.
What a fun and busy month!
