At Miami, I was blessed to meet some amazing friends who I've stayed exceptionally close with these past six years. Sapna and Karen were bridesmaids in our wedding and are two of my very best friends. This past weekend, we were lucky to have them come visit Casa Del Kroner to spend some time with Abby and her mama! Karen lives in Columbus and is expecting her first child with her husband Ryan (she's 12 weeks along), while Sapna lives in Connecticut and is loving life with her wonderful boyfriend Charlie (whom we are all hoping "puts a ring on it" soon!) They are wonderful, strong, amazing women and I'm so glad that Abby has "Aunts" to love her throughout her life.
Sapna flew in Friday and we spent the day lounging around the house, having girl talk, and then making a yummy Italian dinner that evening and spending time together with the four of us (including Kevin). My next door neighbor Caryn, who is also expecting (18 weeks along) came over and the girls sat on the back porch and had some lovely conversation.
Karen drove down from Columbus on Saturday and her, Sapna, Abby and I headed to the zoo for a few hours. As always, Abby loved the zoo, but more so, loved the snuggles and love given by "Auntie Karen" and "Auntie Sapna".
Saturday evening, Kevin was on baby duty as this mama had a night out with her girlfriends! We had a lovely tapas dinner at Relish, some alcohol-free champagne for Karen and some non-alcohol free martinis for Sapna and I. :) Afterwards, we went to a local bar for a drink, then headed home to play a little rock band and have girl talk.
Sunday morning, we headed to Findley Market with just the girls (including Abby) for some brunch and a little shopping.
Thank you ladies for a lovely weekend. We are counting the days until we get to do it again.
