Greenville Trip: Day One!

Abby and I left on Wednesday for our big trip to Greenville, SC to visit Grandma Bookie and Grand Poobah. Our flight was at 3 pm so we left for the airport at 12:30 pm. This was quite a different trip for me than all the other hundreds of times that I have been at the airport. I arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes early (normally I get there 30-45 minutes early), it took me 5 minutes to get through security (instead of my normal 2 minutes) and I had ALOT more to carry! Luckily some nice strangers offered me some help to the check-in counter. Once I got there, Abby was strapped in her travel system and away we went!

First we had to get to Concourse B.

So, Abby and I got on the tram for Abby's first train ride.

Once we got to our concourse, we looked at our plane.

Then we lucked out! There were empty seats on the plane. So instead of being "infant in arms", Abby became "infant in her own car seat in the seat next to her mama". We were very happy!

Then we had a bottle while we were waiting to take off. Then we were very very sleepy. So Abby napped, while mom read "Sky Magazine".

Finally, we were in Greenville! We met Aunt Susann and Uncle Shawn who were so nice to pick us up. We got in the car to drive to Bookie and Poobah's house and start the weekend!
